Hello, I'm Katie Lowry Tisler, and I've been capturing authentic moments through the lens for over 14 years. Photography is more than just a profession to me; it's a deep-rooted passion for preserving the genuine emotions and connections that make life truly remarkable.
My journey as a photographer has led me to specialize in intimate portrait sessions, but my heart beats for the real, unscripted emotions that families share. I believe that life is a collection of fleeting moments, and tomorrow isn't guaranteed. That's why I'm dedicated to creating memories that you and your loved ones can treasure forever.
I'm not a fan of stiff, posed studio portraits; instead, I've pioneered a concept that I'm truly passionate about – family excursions and adventures. Picture this: bowling alleys, arcades, cozy cabin getaways with s'mores by the fire, and during the holidays, tree farms, ice skating, and joyful cookie baking. These experiences are designed to be stress-free, allowing your family to be authentically yourselves. As a mother and stepmother, I understand firsthand the importance of creating a relaxed atmosphere for kids. That's why I love these adventure sessions; they put kids at ease and allow them to have fun without the pressure of forced smiles.
My love for these experiences extends to engagement and couple sessions, where your furry family members are more than welcome to join in on the fun. Together, we'll capture the essence of your unique story, creating cherished memories that will stand the test of time.

Step 1: Get in Touch
To book a family session with us, you have two options:
Book Online: Visit our booking link and use our user-friendly booking system to secure your session or book a phone consultation.
Email Us: OR Simply send us an email at hello@katielowrytisler.com, and we'll assist you from there.
Step 2: Optional Consultation
If you'd like, we can schedule a phone consultation to chat about your session. During this call, we can walk you through the booking process and answer any questions you may have. However, this step is entirely optional. If you prefer to skip it, no worries!
Step 3: Tell Us About Your Family
We'll send you a family questionnaire after booking to gather some essential information about your family, style preferences, and any special requests. Your input helps us tailor the session to your unique personality and needs.
Step 4: Styling Your Session
Our stylist will work closely with you, either through email or a virtual meeting (Skype or Zoom), to create the perfect look for your family. You can choose to have the stylist do the shopping for you or receive style recommendations and links.
Step 5: Finalizing the Details
Before your session, we'll have a final discussion to confirm shoot details, including the location, date, and any specific ideas you have in mind. This conversation can happen via email, phone call, or video chat—whatever suits you best.
Step 6: The Family Adventure
Now, it's time for the fun part! We'll meet at the chosen location, ensuring you have the best experience. Our goal is to capture your family's moments, documenting the activities you've planned. The session could last up to two hours, but we aim to have your full gallery done before that. Essentially, we aren’t on a time limit - its about the experience.
Step 7: Photo Magic
After the session, we will schedule an art reveal for 10 days after your session. The art reveal will be done at our Downtown Akron location OR we will be able to do this via Skype if you’re from out of town. (We do have concierge services, so if you needed assistance on finding a place to stay, please contact us!)
Step 8: Choosing Your Favorites
At your art reveal, you’ll choose your favorite 20 edited images. We'll discuss any additional products or collections you might want to add.
Step 9: Receiving Your Memories
Once your selections are made and payment is complete, we'll deliver your high-resolution edited images with a print release. If you've ordered additional products, we'll ensure they reach you promptly.
**Since we are so personalized in our family session and take our clients on adventures on location, we limit our family sessions to 5 per month. We will have a waiting list for months that are full**

Investment
KLT Studios Family sessions are $650 and may be paid in full with any major credit card, Affirm, Klarna, Paypal credit or Afterpay. These options allow us to be paid in full, and you pay back those companies with their flexible terms offered - if the $650 is paid in full to us, there will be a 5% discount given! If you opt for an in studio payment plan, $100 is due up front and the remaining can be put into an interest free KLT Studio Financing Plan*.
